Travel itineraries you can actually walk

Most itinerary tools stop at a list. Chefington plans trips as Recipes with places: describe the trip, and the Sous Chef builds day-by-day plans whose stops live on a real map — with walking routes between them, time and budget estimates, and the option to share your live location with your group during an outing, only while you have one running.

How it works

  1. Describe the trip. City, days, pace, interests, budget — the Sous Chef asks what matters and skips what doesn't.
  2. Get a mapped plan. Each day's stops in a sensible order, on a map, with walking routes and time estimates.
  3. Walk it live. Follow the route on your phone, check off stops as you go, and share live progress with your group.

What you get

Example Recipe: a food-lover's walking day in Paris

  1. Morning: bakery crawl in the Marais — three stops, 1.2 km on foot
  2. Late morning: market street Rue Montorgueil, budget €20 for grazing
  3. Lunch: classic bistro near Les Halles (booked day before)
  4. Afternoon: chocolate and cheese shops toward Saint-Germain, 2 km walk
  5. Golden hour: Seine-side walk with a stop for photos
  6. Evening: wine bar finish — check off the day, share the route with friends

Ingredients: Metro day pass · Market budget (€20) · Bistro reservation · Comfortable shoes

Questions, answered

Does it show real walking routes?

Yes — stops are plotted on a real map with walking routes between them, so you can see distances and follow the route from your phone while you explore.

Can my travel group see where I am?

During an active outing you can share live progress with your group. Sharing is per-session and only runs while you keep it on — never in the background.

Can I plan multi-day trips?

Yes — each day is its own part of the Recipe with its own stops, budget, and route, and the whole trip tracks progress together.
