An AI project planner that gets you to done
Most project tools give you an empty board and wish you luck. Chefington starts from the other end: describe what you want to make happen, and the AI Sous Chef interviews you — scope, constraints, budget, timing — then builds the whole plan as a Recipe: ordered steps, the items you need, cost estimates, and a progress tracker you can actually finish against. You edit anything, check off work as you go, and always know what comes next.
How it works
- Describe the project. In your own words — "launch my pottery side business" works better than a blank page ever did.
- Answer a few sharp questions. The Sous Chef asks about scope, budget, and deadlines — a couple of taps each, not a form.
- Work the Recipe. You get ordered steps with items and estimated costs. Check things off, adjust as reality happens, finish.
What you get
- A complete step-by-step plan in minutes, not a blank template
- Ingredients — the items, tools, and materials each step needs
- Budget estimates per item, and a running planned-vs-actual view
- Progress tracking with a clear "what's next" at every moment
- A plan you can share, or publish for others to fork
Example Recipe: launching a weekend market stall
- Define the offer: three products, price points, and a simple brand name
- Handle permits: market vendor application and food-handling requirements
- Source equipment: table, canopy, signage, card reader
- Plan inventory for opening day with per-unit cost targets
- Do a dry-run setup at home and time it
- Open day checklist: float, signage, opening stock, backup supplies
Ingredients: Vendor permit · Folding table + canopy · Signage · Card reader · Opening inventory
Questions, answered
How is this different from a to-do list app?
A to-do app stores tasks you already thought of. Chefington helps you figure out the tasks in the first place — the Sous Chef builds the plan with you, including the items and costs each step needs, so nothing important is missing before you start.
Can I change the plan after it's generated?
Yes — a Recipe is fully editable. Add, remove, and reorder steps, change items and budgets, and the progress tracking follows along.
Does it work for non-business projects?
Any goal with steps works: moving apartments, planning an event, a creative project, a garden build. If you can describe it, the Sous Chef can plan it.
